End Of An Era

Our amazing manager Mrs Hocking is retiring at the end of the current term and we also said goodbye earlier in the term to another amazing long-standing member of Pre School staff.

 

Despite all our best efforts in an extensive recruitment drive we have been unable to successfully recruit a new manager or the two Pre School staff we desperately need to ensure that we would be able to operate safely and to the same standards as we expect for your children. We have unfortunately exhausted all options and therefore, after much careful consideration, we have had to make the sad and difficult decision to close Pre School at the end of the current term. 

 

Whilst communicating this sad information, we also wanted to share how privileged the committee feel to have played a small part in the history of this amazing Pre School. So many local children have come through our doors and found a place of learning where they can navigate their early years with fun, joy, curiosity, friendship and love. This is solely down to the amazing manager and staff, both past and present. Without their endless hours of hard work, inspirational care and love for your children, Holmhirst Pre School would not have survived and thrived for the last 35 years.
